“We Give Back” Winner — February 2025

Patricia Knapick was named Wiglesworth-Rindom’s “We Give Back” Charity Referral Winner for the month of February! She donated $500 to Habitat for Humanity.

The idea for Habitat for Humanity originated in Americus, Georgia by the farmer and biblical scholar Clarence Jordan. Clarence, along with founders Millard and Linda Fuller, created the concept of “partnership housing”. “Partnership housing” focused on those in need of adequate shelter working alongside volunteers to build decent, affordable homes. Later, the organization was officially founded in 1976 as Habitat for Humanity International. The organization now operates in 50 states in the US and in more than 70 countries.

Patricia believes in the work and difference Habitat for Humanity makes in the lives of others. She has had the opportunity to volunteer on various projects, including working on roofs, setting up irrigation systems, hanging ceiling fans, and painting. She admires how the professional educates the volunteers, so they feel confident and capable in completing the work. Patricia, originally from Connecticut, moved to South Florida many years ago for the weather. She pours into the lives of her neighbors and their children. She has had the privilege of taking the children to local events and hosting slumber parties. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and yoga.

As part of the Wiglesworth-Rindom “We Give Back” program, we want to recognize different charities near and far. It’s with organizations like these that find a need and do what they can to help our community flourish!
