Why the Ronald McDonald House Charities?

Maria chose to give the $500 donation to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). Maria discovered RMHC when she volunteered for them with her company in Manhattan; she has become a lifelong supporter of the organization. She believes in their mission of giving support to many families seeking medical care for their children.

Meet Maria

Maria was born on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and grew up in the Big Apple — New York City. Maria made a career trading mutual funds before entering a career in testing insurance software. It was in New York that Maria met her husband, William. Maria was out to dinner with a friend when she bumped into William. They exchanged business cards, and the rest is history. With Maria and William having three children each, they were a regular Brady Bunch. In 2012, Maria and William decided they had enough of the snow and traded the New York cold for Florida heat. She currently lives in Whispering Woods, West Palm Beach, where she continues her passion for helping others by volunteering at local charities.
