“We Give Back” Winner — October 2022

Laurie Fitzgerald-Toro chose Live Like Jake as the recipient for the $500 donation for the Wiglesworth-Rindom “We Give Back” Charity Referral Program. Laurie appreciates all the good they do and how accessible the program is to those who may not be able to afford the normal fees associated with swimming and ISR lessons. They have provided over 3,000 swimming scholarships since they have opened. They’re drowning prevention course focuses on swimming lessons for children of all ages and provides education to guardians on what to do in situations where there is risk of drowning.

Laurie is originally from New York and moved to Florida in 2020. During quarantine, Laurie realized if she had to spend her time at home, she’d rather spend it somewhere sunny. As a bonus, her family has all called Stuart their home for the past 40 years. Together, her and John made the move and they now get to frequently see their two children. In her spare time, Laurie enjoys reading, hiking, swimming and spending time on the beach.
